Smoking and Impotence

Smoking and impotence in men have been linked. A study at Tulane University has shown that men that smoke cigarettes run an increased risk of experiencing male impotence. And the more they smoke, the greater the risk of experiencing male impotence goes up.

The team at Tulane reported that there was a very significant statistical link between the number of cigarettes that men smoked and the likelihood they would experience male impotence. The smoking and impotence link got stronger in men that smoke AND have diabetes.
Male impotence compromises a man's well-being and quality of life. This study at Tulane has shown that there is a significant link between smoking and impotence. If you are a smoker and are experiencing impotence, a way to treat it is to stop smoking.

Diabetes and Impotence

An all to common cause of male impotence is diabetes. Many problems that are related to diabetes all converge together and cause male impotence (Erectile Dysfunction). Multiple studies have shown that about 35% - 75% of men with diabetes develop some degree of male impotence.

Unfortunately, men with some form of diabetes tend to develop male impotence 10 to 15 years earlier than men without diabetes. As these men with diabetes get older, impotence becomes more and more common.
